Kelly O’Reilly is the President and CEO of the Ohio Association of Health Plans. Ms. O’Reilly’s interest in public policy began in college when she worked as a page in the Ohio Senate while attending the Ohio State University. After earning her degree in Political Science, Kelly then turned her focus to the law, graduating from Capital University Law School in 1996.
At the start of her legal career, Ms. O’Reilly worked as a judicial clerk in both state and federal courts and as an associate at the law firm, Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease, in its Columbus, Ohio office. Immediately prior to joining OAHP, Kelly served for 18 years as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for the independent lobbying firm of Governmental Policy Group, Inc. In this role, Kelly represented several Fortune 500 corporations, as well as many healthcare provider organizations.
Kelly’s experience has allowed her to develop long-standing relationships with Ohio policymakers, as well as an expertise in healthcare laws and regulations, and a deep respect for the important and interconnected role that all of the stakeholders in the healthcare system play. In addition to leading the day to day operations of the Association, Ms. O’Reilly works with OAHP members on executive branch and legislative strategies, issue management and enhancement of collaborative partnerships with other healthcare stakeholders.
Kelly lives in New Albany, Ohio with her two daughters.
Stacy joined OAHP in 2000 and has enjoyed working to gain a wide breadth of knowledge during her tenure. She serves as the Ohio Association of Health Plans’ Senior Director of Association Services. In this role, Stacy continually strives to enhance and exceed OAHP’s strategic goals through her range of core responsibilities in daily operations, budget and financial management, membership and sponsorship strategy, meeting and event management and PAC administration.
What Stacy loves most about working at OAHP: the positive, “can do” team she works with, the continual opportunities to learn, and just as importantly, the long-term relationships she’s cultivated with OAHP Members she’s had the pleasure to work with for more than two decades. Her experience has given her a deep appreciation of the non-profit culture and advancing OAHP’s mission to promote and advocate quality health care and access to a variety of affordable health care benefits for all consumers in Ohio.
Stacy attended The Ohio State University and resides in Columbus with her husband. They are proud parents of three adult children and eight grandchildren.
Gretchen Blazer Thompson is the Director of Government Affairs at the Ohio Association of Health Plans. She is responsible for managing legislative efforts on behalf of OAHP’s members and advocates for OAHP before the General Assembly, state agencies, the administration, and various stakeholders. Gretchen runs OAHP’s Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee which focuses on current and future policy.
Gretchen joined OAHP in 2017 after being a part of Porter Wright Morris and Arthur’s Government Affairs practice group for 4 years. Gretchen has also served in multiple positions within state government.
Gretchen received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Dayton and received her MBA from Franklin University. She resides in Dublin, Ohio with her husband and son.
Angela Weaver is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Ohio Association of Health Plans. She is responsible for managing the OAHP Government Programs Committee and leads policy discussions and advocacy for OAHP members with various state agencies and stakeholder groups and assists with legislative and association activities.
Angela joined OAHP in 2013 after serving as the Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Department of Medicaid and the Governor’s Office of Health Transformation under the Governor Kasich Administration. Angela also served in various positions in the Ohio Senate for almost five years. She started her career on Cap Square as a Legislative Service Commission Fellow.
Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree from Denison University. She resides in Gahanna, Ohio with her husband and daughter.
