Our people care. To us, working in healthcare is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to help make a lasting difference in the lives of our fellow Ohioans. Particularly for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Kelly O’Reilly is the President and CEO of the Ohio Association of Health Plans. Ms. O’Reilly’s interest in public policy began in college when she worked as a page in the Ohio Senate while attending the Ohio State University. After earning her degree in Political Science, Kelly then turned her focus to the law, graduating from Capital University Law School in 1996.

At the start of her legal career, Ms. O’Reilly worked as a judicial clerk in both state and federal courts and as an associate at the law firm, Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease, in its Columbus, Ohio office. Immediately prior to joining OAHP, Kelly served for 18 years as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for the independent lobbying firm of Governmental Policy Group, Inc. In this role, Kelly represented several Fortune 500 corporations, as well as many healthcare provider organizations.

Kelly’s experience has allowed her to develop long-standing relationships with Ohio policymakers, as well as an expertise in healthcare laws and regulations, and a deep respect for the important and interconnected role that all of the stakeholders in the healthcare system play. In addition to leading the day to day operations of the Association, Ms. O’Reilly works with OAHP members on executive branch and legislative strategies, issue management and enhancement of collaborative partnerships with other healthcare stakeholders.
